After nearly 10 years, it’s finally the beginning of the end for the My Hero Academia anime. But before we can all get invested in the spinoff that’s on the way, we have to close out Deku’s story with My Hero Academia Final Season. The eighth season of the show got its first brief trailer at AnimeJapan on Friday, along with the reveal that the season would arrive on Crunchyroll in October.

The extremely short trailer is careful not to give much away about the season, so we’ll do the same. But it’s safe to say that Deku and friends’ battle against Tomura Shigaraki and All for One continues. We get a few glimpses of Deku and Shigaraki seeming like they’re about to face off, but we don’t get to see too much of the action in the trailer itself. The good news is that leaves plenty of incredible fight scenes to help get us excited for the season.

The creative staff behind the show at Bones will remain largely the same as it was for season 7. Longtime series director Kenji Nagasaki will once again serve as chief director on season 8, while Naomi Nakayama will continue in her director role.

The teaser also reveals that Final Season will arrive on Crunchyroll in October. It’s not quite clear yet if My Hero Academia Final Season will really be the end of the show, or if it will take a familiar, Attack on Titan-style route of breaking up its final run of episodes into several parts.
