It may still be faux fur coat season, but Parker Posey is still embracing White Lotus resort style in real life…at least when it comes to accessories.
As Teen Vogue reports, Posey recently brought out the bamboo-handled white Gucci purse previously used to store Victoria Ratliff’s missing lorazepam in The White Lotus season three. But while the rich Southern matriarch was stuck on a boat she didn’t want to be on with a bunch of people she didn’t want to talk to, Posey appeared to be having a fabulous time at the grand opening of Printemps in New York City on March 20.
Instead of styling the $4700 Gucci bamboo 1947 bag with a sundress and parasol à la Victoria, Posey stepped out in a button-up gold dress and a dramatic cream and beige fur coat, adding a pop of color with a pair of blue satin Roger Vivier pumps with a rhinestone buckle and jeweled heel. (While those shoes are hard to get your hands on, DSW sells a very similar heel for $90).
As for glam, Posey opted for a bright red lip, Old Hollywood curls, and a bright tangerine manicure, which you can see better in this close-up photo of the bag:
And here is the same bag in The White Lotus season three, which Victoria often wears with its detachable cross-body strap.
Southern Charm star Patricia Altschul—believed to have partially inspired Posey’s White Lotus character—has officially given Mrs. Ratliff’s wardrobe her seal of authenticity…with the exception of the Louis Vuitton purse she also carries on the show. “I can’t imagine, frankly, any upper-class person buying Louis Vuitton,” Altschul recently told Glamour.
“I think they’re very Southern upper class,” the reality star said of Victoria’s outfits. “They’re prints. They’re not showy. They’re not screaming new money. They’re screaming old guard because they’re understated. She obviously considers trends beneath her. She goes for the classics.”
