EXCLUSIVE: Dave Andron, writer and executive producer on hit FX series including Justified and Snowfall, has signed an overall deal with FX Productions.

Under the agreement, Andron will write, executive produce and supervise new projects for FX. He is currently part of the creative team behind the Snowfall spinoff series, starring Gail Bean and Isaiah John who are reprising their roles from the mothership series. The project received a pilot order from FX earlier this week with casting due to begin shortly and production estimated to kick off this summer.

“As we witnessed with Justified and Snowfall, Dave is a gifted, compelling storyteller,” said Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment. “We’re already hard at work on a Snowfall spinoff, along with other exciting projects under his new overall deal with FX.”

Watch on Deadline

Andron served as an executive producer on FX’s Justified, the AFI and Peabody-winning series led by Timothy Olyphant which received two Emmy Awards and ran for six seasons. Additionally, he was co-creator and executive producer of FX’s Justified: City Primeval, an eight-episode limited series in 2023.

Andron co-created the critically acclaimed series FX’s Snowfall, working closely with co-creator, the late John Singleton, on the series which also ran for six seasons. The network touts Snowfall as a “rare class of drama that grew its audience and acclaim with each season.” The standout cast includes Damson Indris, in his breakout leading role of ‘Franklin Saint,’ Carter Hudson, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Michael Hyatt, Amin Joseph, Angela Lewis, and, the aforementioned, Bean and John.

“I wish for every creative who aspires to work in television to someday have a home at a place like FX,” Andron shared. “The culture from the top down is one of respect and true partnership and it’s no accident they’re consistently at the top of the TV heap. I am incredibly grateful to John [Landgraf], Nick [Grad], Gina [Balian], Jonathan [Frank], JJ [Klein], Kevin [Wandell], Sam [Militante], John [Solberg], Roslyn [Bibby], and the entire team for their wisdom and support over the last fifteen years, and look forward to continuing on this journey with them.”

Andron is represented by CAA, Lit Entertainment Group, and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman.
