Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi commemorated two decades of love after fleeing the United States when President Trump was elected into office for a second term.
The former talk show host shared a photo on her Instagram Wednesday, where she could be seen staring into her wife’s eyes in front of a beautiful sunset.
“20 years together. Happy to be with you everywhere and always @portiaderossi,” DeGeneres captioned the sweet snap.
DeGeneres and de Rossi appeared to be celebrating their relationship milestone with an adventurous African escapade as the comedian tagged the luxury African safari company, Singita, as well as the guided tour company, Safarious.
It’s unclear which country the lovebirds were exploring as Singita operates private game lodges in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Tanzania and Rwanda.
They did, however, tag a South Africa-based tour guide who goes by the name Safari Dan.
DeGeneres, 67, and the “Arrested Development” actress, 52, notoriously moved out of their home in Montecito, Calif., and settled in the UK after Trump returned to the Oval Office.
In November 2024, sources told TMZ that the duo decided to “get the hell out” of the country after Trump’s victory over Kamala Harris left them feeling “very disillusioned.”
They now reside in a home nearly two hours outside of London in the Cotswolds in South West England.
De Rossi and DeGeneres reportedly purchased the property before the 2024 election.
Shortly after moving across the pond, DeGeneres and de Rossi surfaced at a local UK pub called The Farmers Dog.
DeGeneres was almost unrecognizable as she dyed her famously short blond pixie cut a new shade of brunette.
The “Ellen DeGeneres Show” alum and de Rossi are no strangers to going big when it comes to commemorating their relationship.
In 2023, they honored their more than 14 years of marriage by renewing their vows in their Montecito abode.
Kris Jenner officiated the ceremony and Brandi Carlile performed while stars in attendance included Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
DeGeneres and de Rossi tied the knot with an intimate, 20-person wedding ceremony in Los Angeles Aug. 16, 2008.
