Fortnite Cheat Code Day is happening today, giving players 24 hours to level up Sprites twice as fast, and earn double Sprite Dust. The event has replaced Mastery Monday in Chapter 7 Season 4, but features many of the same bonuses. Here is what time Cheat Code Day starts in Fortnite on August 24, when it ends and every reward available.
What Time Does Cheat Code Day Start in Fortnite?
The Cheat Code Day Fortnite event starts at 6:00 AM PT / 9:00 AM ET on August 24. The event will remain active for exactly 24 hours, giving players until Tuesday morning to take advantage of its boosted Sprite leveling, double Dust and enhanced Cheat Codes.
As a result, Mastery Monday Cheat Code Day ends at 6:00 AM PT / 9:00 AM ET on August 25. However, the event begins later in the day across Europe and after midnight in New Zealand. Here is the complete Cheat Code Day schedule for every major region:

How Does Cheat Code Day Work in Fortnite?
Cheat Code Day is a special Fortnite event designed to make upgrading Sprites and earning Dust much easier. Sprites level up twice as fast throughout the event, allowing you to master characters more quickly by opening chests, surviving Storm circles and completing activities around the map.
Similar to Mastery Monday, players also earn twice as much Sprite Dust, which can be used to resummon characters they have previously collected. This is especially useful if you are trying to complete the new Fortnite Override Sprite collection or unlock new Loot Hacks. Despite its new name, Cheat Code Day appears to be the Chapter 7 Season 4 version of Mastery Monday.
All Fortnite Cheat Code Day Rewards and Bonuses
Here is everything included in Cheat Code Day on August 24:
- Sprites level up twice as fast
- Earn 2x Sprite Dust
- Cheat Codes are more powerful
- Free Gold Jonesy Sprite (Free 10,000 Sprite Dust if you already have this Sprite)
How to Get the Free Gold Jonesy Sprite in Fortnite
To get the free Gold Jonesy Sprite, enter the Cheat Code JonesyIsGolden into the Admin Panel in Fortnite’s main menu. Once the Lobby Hack code has been successfully redeemed, you will receive the Gold Jonesy Sprite and 10,000 Sprite Dust.
Here is how to redeem the new code:
- Launch Fortnite during Cheat Code Day.
- Open the Admin Panel from the main menu.
- Enter JonesyIsGolden into the Cheat Code box.
- Confirm the code to receive your rewards.
Gold Jonesy was previously available as a rare Sprite variant in Fortnite Override. However, the new Lobby Hack now gives every player an easy way to add the character to their collection without relying on random spawn rates. You will also get 10k Sprite Dust if you already unlocked him previously.
Is Cheat Code Day the New Mastery Monday?
Yes, Cheat Code Day appears to be the new version of Mastery Monday in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4. Both events run for 24 hours and allow players to level up Sprites twice as fast while earning additional Sprite Dust.
However, Cheat Code Day has been updated to match the theme of Fortnite Override. Instead of focusing on increased Legendary and Mythic Sprite spawn rates, the August 24 event makes Cheat Codes more powerful and includes a free Lobby Hack reward for the Gold Jonesy Sprite.
