Studio Tim Fu (STF), founded by a former architect at ZHA, is redefining architectural innovation with the Lake Bled Estate — a 22,000-square-meter development in Slovenia where AI and human creativity converge. Featuring seven exclusive villas, including the historic Vila Epos designed in 1909 by Jože Plečnik, the project seamlessly merges tradition with modern design.

Tim Fu emphasizes that AI is not a replacement for human intuition but a tool to accelerate creativity and optimize design. STF utilizes AI to reinterpret local architectural elements, such as the risalit, a traditional timber enclosure, transforming it into vertical atriums that enhance natural light and frame breathtaking views of Lake Bled and the Julian Alps.

The villas share a cohesive architectural identity, featuring sleek white facades contrasted by dark grey roofs. A distinctive round top atrium graces the front of each residence, while black detailing accentuates the clean, modern aesthetic.

With a central communal park and villa layouts that balance privacy with connectivity, the estate fosters harmony with nature. Encased in lush greenery, each home seamlessly integrates with its natural surroundings, embracing Slovenia’s natural environment. AI-driven efficiencies enhance sustainability while preserving cultural authenticity.

Comprising six contemporary villas and the landmark Vila Epos, the Lake Bled Estate sets a new standard in AI-assisted architecture, positioning itself as a benchmark for the future of design.
