An FDNY firefighter went into cardiac arrest as he battled an inferno at a multi-family house in Brooklyn Sunday and remains hospitalized in critical condition, officials said.

The firefighter, who was not identified, suffered the medical episode that left him in critical condition after more than 100 first responders rushed to the scene at 1133 Lafayette Ave. in Bushwick around 11:30 a.m., the FDNY and mayor’s officer said.

The firefighter was treated at the scene by medics before he was taken to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center. He was then transferred to Lenox Hill Hospital for ongoing medical care.

Officials have not released his identity as they work to notify family members.

Two other firefighters and two civilians also suffered minor injuries from the two-alarm blaze that spread across multiple floors and the cockloft of the four-story building, the department said.

The flames were under control about two hours after the FDNY reached the scene.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
