At 27-27 and looking at the NBA Play-in Tournament, the Golden State Warriors have run off 11 wins in their last 12 games and now find themselves sixth in the Western Conference. Steph Curry is back in the groove, averaging 28.7 points and 6.1 assists with an absurd shooting line of .495/.421/.924 over the team’s last 15 games. 14 of those games included newcomer Jimmy Butler, whose no-nonsense do-it-for-the-team approach has paid off in spades.
At 42-23, the Knicks have a firm grasp of the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference but continue to deal with the crushing loss of Jalen Brunson to an ankle injury a week prior. The Knicks’ most recent game resulted in a 114-113 win over the Portland Trail Blazers that featured 42 lead changes, with Mikal Bridges making a 3-pointer at the buzzer to win it, capping off a solid game where he shouldered the scoring load, making 13 of 21 shots for 33 points.
The Knicks last faced the Warriors back on March 4th, with the Warriors securing a 114-102 victory. They will not meet again in the regular season.
