Politicians seem to love listening to Noah Kahan. Barack Obama shared that his song “Doors” has been in rotation for his summer playlist. Whether he’s actually jamming out to it is its own question. But it does make for strong PR for the artists. Now, you can add California governor Gavin Newsom to the list of people in love with Kahan’s music.
In a report from TMZ, Newsom and his wife went to the Noah Kahan show at Oracle Park in San Francisco. There, the governor was found grinning and dancing with his better half to “Dan”. When he’s not in the world of politics, clearly Gavin Newsom can get a little sturdy.
Another one of Kahan’s stops in California saw the folk rock and pop star bring out Chappell Roan. Together, they performed “California”, a tender ballad from her breakout debut album The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess. “Noah always stands up for me, he’s a good person, for real,” she told the crowd.
Naturally, fans online all collectively felt a bit of envy, wishing that they could’ve witnessed such a crossover event. “Omg i am so jealous. but i feel like if i saw this live i would never recover,” one person wrote at the time.
Noah Kahan Has Been Having Quite The Wild Tour
All the stars coming out for Noah Kahan’s shows have to be a lot more relieving than what he was dealing with earlier in the tour. Towards the beginning of his tour in June, he had to tell fans not to take massive turds on the venue floors.
“If you have to poop at a show please dear god just go to the bathroom lmao,” Kahan said at the time. “I’ve pooped my pants as much as the next 29 year old but you guys gotta understand there’s a venue worker out there with a 1000 yard stare after dealing with that. I s**t myself onstage in Charlottesville but that’s because I am dedicated to my craft.”
One person shared a particularly gross horror story, claiming that they were right there to see the grossness in action. “Ok so the person who did this was one row in front of me in section AA. I guess they didn’t want to miss a couple songs to use the bathroom so they just straight up s**t themselves,” they graphically detailed.
“[They] started picking actual pieces of poop out of their butt and put it on the floor. She started trying to waffle stomp the turds and acted like nothing happened but we flagged down security. One of the most unreal concert experiences I’ve ever witnessed.”
