The Denver Nuggets will be taking on the Los Angeles Lakers in what is a crucial game for playoff-seeding purposes. Denver currently sits one game above the Lakers in the Western Conference standings, putting real implications on this matchup.

However, due to injuries on the Lakers’ side of things, the game could be a dud. Both LeBron James and Luka Doncic will miss this game due to injury, leaving Los Angeles very shorthanded for this critical contest.
Even with this news, the Nuggets still have a game to play and they can’t overlook the Lakers. But Denver has their own star players listed on the injury report.
Center Nikola Jokic and guard Jamal Murray are both on the injury report entering the game. Both players have been listed as probable for this game and will play against Los Angeles.

Having both guys on the floor allows Denver a great opportunity to put some distance between them and Los Angeles in the standings. This Nuggets team has been pushing all year and they want to position themselves as best they can before the postseason starts.
Entering this game, the Nuggets hold a record of 42-24, sitting in the No. 3 spot of the West standings. They have gone 5-5 over their previous 10 games overall entering this game.
Los Angeles currently holds the No. 4 spot but they have been fading quickly due to all the injuries. The Lakers are hopeful that they can maintain a top-six seed but they come into this game having lost three in a row.
So far, the season series between the two teams is tied at 1-1 so this game is massive. The two sides will also play one more game in Los Angeles on March 19 and that could decide the tiebreaker for seeding purposes.
The hope is that all parties will be healthy for that game so fans can see a great matchup between two of the better teams in the West. But for now, Denver will go forward in this game and try to secure a hold over the Lakers.
