Scarlett Johansson is weighing in on the Saturday Night Live joke from Colin Jost and Michael Che’s annual “joke swap” and says her Marvel character is dead for good.

In a new interview, Johansson reflected on the dirty joke Che wrote for her significant other to read on the NBC late-night sketch show.

“It was so vulgar,” Johansson told InStyle. “I just can’t believe that they went there. I was like—it was so gross. It was really gross. And, like, old-school gross.”

On the Christmas episode, Jost and Che swapped jokes, with Jost making a joke likening Costco’s roast beef sandwich to Johansson’s vagina.

“Costco has removed the roast beef sandwich from their menu. But I ain’t tripping. I’ve been eating roast beef every night since my wife had the kid,” Jost joked while Johansson watched the “Weekend Update” segment backstage.

Jost recently addressed the joke during an appearance on The Tonight Show, telling Jimmy Fallon Johansson was “genuinely shocked.”

Johansson spent many years playing Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After the 2021 prequel film, Johansson closed the door on reprising the role, despite Marvel fans hoping there was a way to bring her back despite her fate in Avengers: Endgame.

“Natasha is dead. She is dead. She’s dead. Okay?,” Johansson told the publication, adding Marvel fans “just don’t want to believe it.”

“They’re like, ‘But she could come back!’ she says. “Look, I think the balance of the entire universe is held in her hand. We’re going to have to let it go. She saved the world. Let her have her hero moment.”
