The Atlantic 10’s automatic bid into the women’s NCAA Tournament is up for grabs on Sunday as it takes on George Mason. So far this season, George Mason is 26-5 and 14-4 in A-10 play, while Saint Joseph’s is 23-8 on the year and sports a 12-6 conference record.

Despite the better conference record, George Mason lost both times these teams met in the regular season. The most recent game was Feb. 23, with Saint Joseph’s winning that one 83-69. George Mason’s Zahirah Watson had a huge game with 28 points, but it wasn’t enough to get past the Hawks, who were led in scoring by Laura Ziegler’s 23 points. Ziegler also added eight rebounds and five assists.
On Saturday in the semifinals, George Mason defeated Davidson 63-50, while Saint Joseph’s scored a huge upset over No. 1 seed Richmond, winning 50-49. Richmond should still get an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, making the A-10 a bid-stealing league.
