Jennie Garth called out the Academy for leaving her late friend Shannen Doherty out of the “In Memoriam” segment at Sunday’s 2025 Oscars.

Garth shared her candid reaction after being stopped by a TMZ photographer Tuesday while posing for photos in New York City.

“Yeah, that’s messed up,” she said of her “Beverly Hills, 90210” co-star being snubbed.

When asked whether the Academy should issue an “apology,” Garth, 52, replied, “Maybe.”

Several late movie stars, directors, producers and crew members were honored during the Morgan Freeman-led “In Memoriam” at the 97th annual Academy Awards in Hollywood, Calif., on Sunday.

However, Doherty was not the only name that viewers noticed had been left off the list.

Fans also called out the Oscars for not including recently deceased “Gossip Girl” star Michelle Trachtenberg as well as Tony Todd, Chance Perdomo, Tony Roberts, Linda Lavin and Martin Mull.

The Academy has yet to issue a statement about the people who were not included nor did it return Page Six’s request for comment.

Doherty died on July 13, 2024, at the age of 53 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, and it progressed to her lymph nodes the following year. By late 2017, she announced she was in remission.

However, Doherty revealed the cancer had returned in 2020, and it was a stage 4 diagnosis.

The “Charmed” star fought the disease for four years before her longtime publicist announced her death.

“She lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease,” Leslie Sloane said in a statement at the time. “The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie.”

Garth later paid tribute to her close friend by calling her “one on the strongest people I have ever known.”

“Our connection was real and honest,” she wrote via Instagram shortly after Doherty’s death. “We were so often pitted against each other but none of that reflected the truth of our real relationship which was one built on mutual respect and admiration.”

Garth also referred to Doherty as “courageous, passionate, determined and very loving and generous.”

“I will miss her and will always honor her deeply in my heart and in my memories,” she added. “My heart breaks for her family and Bowie and all the people who loved her.”
