The world of Magic: The Gathering has been expanding exponentially since its collaboration-oriented Universes Beyond sets were officially announced in early 2021. Since then we’ve seen Wizards of the Coast bring everything from Assassin’s Creed to The Lord of the Rings to life in card form. While the launch of its FINAL FANTASY-themed set nears, we now have a first look at the cards from the Marvel’s Spider-Man-based project.
We’re just under half a year out from its launch, however, Wizards of the Coast participated in Hasbro’s North American International Toy Fair presentation in New York to offers its initial reveal of the new collection. Here we see several “Legendary Creatures” present with villains Doc Ock, Venom and Green Goblin joined by the Sensational Spider-Man. Additional inclusions are Doc Ock’s grasping tentacles and Green Goblin’s pumpkin bombs. All six of these new cards combine to create artwork by Dan Dos Santos of an epic battle scene featuring all four icons.
For those looking to shop the new Magic: The Gathering – Marvel’s Spider-Man collection, it is set to release globally on September 26 with its product lineup including booster packs, collector booster packs, bundles, a scene box and pre-release packs. Check out the complete range of products and pre-order today via the Wizards of the Coast site.
