Pete Davidson details ‘terrible’ tattoo removal process: ‘Arms are almost done’

Pete Davidson’s tattoo removal project is “still going strong.”

The “SNL” alum told Page Six at the Cinema Society screening of “Riff Raff” on Wednesday that he’s nearly finished removing the inkings from his arms and has begun “working on the torso.”

Davidson, who at one point had 200 tattoos, shared that it’s an incredibly painful procedure.

“It’s terrible,” he shared. “They burn off your skin and then you’ve got to do it 10 more times. I think if you can invest in any business, I think you should invest in the tattoo removal business.”

The standup comic said to pass the time, “they just put me to sleep which is kind of nice but if it’s just the arm, I try to listen to stuff or talk to the nurse.”

He showed off his ink-free body in an ad campaign for Reformation, posing in a white T-shirt and boxer shorts.

Davidson also recently appeared in the “SNL50” celebrations and got to sit next to Meryl Streep.

“I was just so nervous because I didn’t want to bother her,” he told us. “She was so nice — not that that’s so surprising. She was so nice to me. We had a really good conversation and we were both just in awe of what was happening.”

“That was what was so cool about ‘SNL50.’ Everyone was so psyched to be there and see the performances, no matter who you were.”

The “Bupkis” alum, who became a cast member when he had just turned 20, admitted that it’s slightly “ridiculous” he was cast in the long-running comedy show at such a tender age.

“Now, I look back and [see] how ridiculous it was,” he confessed. “When you’re there and when you’re 20 you feel like an adult but you’re not. You’re learning and growing into the person you’re going to be.”

“But I feel really lucky because everyone there treated me as one of their own and I had a very great cast and Nicki Gostin Lorne [Michaels] always had my back so I always had a really great time and being at ‘SNL50,’ it really hit me [that], ‘Oh my god, I’m a part of something amazing,’ so I’m always grateful.”

Davidson is currently promoting “Riff Raff” in which he plays a hitman alongside Bill Murray.

“I usually don’t get to do stuff like that — put on a suit and be a mobster, that’s the dream!” he exclaimed.

Davidson, who has been open about his mental health struggles also shared that he’s in a “good” place right now.

“I’m doing good,” he said. “Stuff is evening out and as I get older, things just get better… so I’m doing better.”
