Aditi Rao Hydari, Avinash Tiwary and Arjun Rampal will front director Imtiaz Ali‘s latest Netflix collab, drama series O Saathi Re.
Billed as an “evocative exploration of the vintage feeling of love in contemporary times,” O Saathi Re will begin filming at the end of this month. Further plot details aren’t yet forthcoming, but cast held a table read this week.
Ali — known for the likes of Tamasha, Rockstar, Jab We Met and Love Aaj Kal — previously worked with Netflix on last year’s musical drama Amar Singh Chamkila. He is creator, writer and showrunner on O Saathi Re, and will be executive producer of the series along with Mohit Choudhary. Arif Ali, who previously directed She, will be series director. Creative producer is Nidhi Sethia and exec producers on site are Vishal Bajaj and Pratik Nandkumar More.
As for the cast, Rao Hydari starred in last year’s big-budget Netflix series Heeramandi, while Tiwary lead cast for the streamer’s 2024 film Sikandar Ka Muqaddar. Rampal recently starred in Rana Naidu Season 2.
