Cypress Hill and the London Symphony Orchestra are officially set to release their one-off concert as a concert film and live album.
Cypress Hill and the London Symphony Orchestra: Black Sunday Live at the Royal Albert Hall is a recording of the two groups’ one night only show that took place in July 2024. The concert film will hit theaters in the US and Canada on March 30 and March 31, and then in the US alone on April 2. Meanwhile, the live album is scheduled to drop on June 6.
“It’s a trip to see that hip hop can be done in this form — and at a venue as prestigious as the Royal Albert Hall. It was truly an honor and a privilege, and now that experience can be shared,” B-Real said. Sen Dog added, “It was amazing to take this journey with the people of London who supported Cypress Hill from day one.”
Conductor Troy Miller, who helmed the orchestra for the show, shared, “I’ve always been excited by the idea of merging genres, and to do it with the most prolific hip hop group of all time and the most exquisite symphony orchestra in the world was an honor! The band gave me free rein on the arrangements and we made something truly unique and mesmerizing — what a sublime collaboration!”
