During the NASCAR Cup Series race at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, veteran driver Kyle Busch launched a scathing rant aimed at his Chevrolet teammate Carson Hocevar.
The Atlanta Motor Speedway, which was revamped in 2021, has been known to foster close and dramatic racing with its new layout. Drivers have had to adapt to drafting-style racing similar to superspeedways like Daytona or Talladega.
After starting from the back of the field, Hocevar managed to climb into a top-10 spot by the end of the stage. But his on-track antics did not go unnoticed by Chevrolet teammate Busch, who was visibly frustrated with Hocevar’s driving style.
Busch did not hold back his anger. Despite sharing the same manufacturer, the two drive for different teams: Busch for Richard Childress Racing and Hocevar for Spire Motorsports. Speaking over his team radio, Busch ranted:
“Go tell that 77 he’s done that same f***ing move ten times. I don’t care if I wreck the whole f***ing field, I’m over him. He’s a f***ing d*****bag, I’m going to wreck his ass.”
I saw the 77 slide the 8 at the end of the stage, causing Kyle Busch to lose several positions. I went to MAX to watch the replay and caught a classic Kyle Busch rant.*caution: language* pic.twitter.com/b46SY6jD6O

Carson Hocevar, still in the early stages of his NASCAR career, has quickly garnered attention with his assertive driving style. In his rookie season in the Cup Series, he drives for Spire Motorsports and has managed to capture the enthusiasm of both fans and fellow racing personalities.
Hocevar finished the race in second position, whereas Busch crossed the line in seventh position.
Joe Gibbs Racing driver Christopher Bell clinched the win in a dramatic last-lap overtake during overtime.
