This morning’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show was centered around one of host Drew Barrymore‘s favorite topics: time management.

Barrymore is notoriously terrible with time management, which is why she decided to devote the entire hour this morning to the topic. During the daily Drew’s News segment, she invited Drew Crewers Ross Mathews, Sunny Anderson, and Valerie Bertinelli to discuss some of the latest headlines surrounding time management.

At one point, the group engaged in a “Drew Debate” over one man’s decision to reward punctual guests with a wristband to a VIP section of his house that had better food and drinks.

“I wish food was enough of an incentivization,” Barrymore admitted.

Bertinelli, meanwhile, offered a counterpoint to the man in question.

“You don’t want to be the first person at the party. But you don’t want to be the last person there,” she said. “I’ve had people show up for book group 20 minutes early and I’m like, ‘Really? Because I haven’t gotten in the shower yet. And it’s still in the oven.’”

Mathews, on the other hand, said he’s always ready for guests on time.

“If I invite people over at noon, I’m like chihuahua in the window, like, ‘Are they here yet? Are they here yet?’ I like it,” he said, before Bertinelli asked, “Who has a party at noon?”

But Mathews quickly fired back, “Don’t judge me, Valerie Bertinelli! I can party at noon, for the record.”

Barrymore, for her part, said, “I would like that because I like a day. I want to be home early and in bed and have a night. So, I’ll be there at noon.”

The actress first opened up about her “time management kick” during a December 2024 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show when she detailed her chaotic mornings with two children — and even directly apologized to anyone her tardiness has affected.

“We’re always, like, three minutes late to school,” she said, before adding, “We wake up at 6:30 [a.m.] to be at school by 8 [a.m.]. So that’s an hour-and-a-half and it’s a struggle. It’s really hard. They want to eat something at the last second. Their shoes, the bed, the chaos. I’m like, ‘How are we not doing this in 90 minutes?!’ I’ve got alarms set everywhere. It’s hard.”

The Drew Barrymore Show airs on weekdays on CBS. You can check the website for local airtimes.
