EXCLUSIVE: The Global Entertainment Awards has unveiled its regional winners with work on a raft of big-ticket series, movies and games getting recognition.
The GEAs lauds the marketing and promo teams that work on projects, with categories covering trailers, behind the scenes material, key art and social media campaigns. It is in its fourth edition.
Season 2 of Squid Game featured in several categories, landing wins for creatives in Best Teaser and Best Motion Poster categories. Another Netflix series, The Crown, also appeared multiple times, as was the case in last year’s awards. This time it won two Best Long Form Behind The Scenes awards for work on Season 6. Mufasa: The Lion King prevailed in Best Motion Poster and Best Sound Design categories.
The awards are split across continents. In North America Wicked scooped Best Experiential Marketing, Venom: The Last Dance Best Short Form Behind the Scenes, and Dune: Part Two Best Social Media Campaign.

Kneecap won Best Key Art, Sky and Peacock drama Day of the Jackal landed Best Trailer and Sky Showtime’s Polish hit Śleboda took Best 360 Campaign in the Europe section. Despicable Me 4 won Best Social Media Spot and House of the Dragon Best Social Media Campaign in Latin America. Best Experiential Marketing went to the Batman movie franchise in Asia Pacific.
“We are honored to be able to focus attention and further build an understanding of how central and important the creatives behind the promotion and marketing of entertainment are,” said Tim Cole, CEO, Global Entertainment Awards. “The quality and innovation present in the submitted work has been phenomenal.”
The regional winners and nominees get a another shot at a GEA accolade with all of them in consideration for its Global Awards, which take place on March 2 and are held in the Algarve, Portugal. The GEA also runs a conference strand – the Insights Forum – from Feb. 28 through Mar. 2.
