Pete Davidson believes his love life gets splashed across the headlines more than other famous men because he’s “ugly.”
“Everyone is dating everyone and it’s Hollywood,” the “SNL” alum, 31, told Page Six in a recent exclusive interview. “Look at Paul Mescal, Timmy [Chalamet], Barry Keough. But because I’m ugly, they wrote about me. I was harassed for like five years and it made my life a living hell.”
Davidson added that it “was pretty humiliating and upsetting.”
Davidson became a tabloid fixture amid a flurry of high-profile relationships over the years.
His first serious relationship was with Larry David’s daughter Cazzie David, which was quickly followed by a whirlwind engagement with Ariana Grande.
This was followed by dalliances with Kate Beckinsale, Kaia Gerber, Margaret Qualley and Phoebe Dynevor.
Perhaps Davidson’s most public relationship came when he began dating Kim Kardashian not long after they kissed during an “SNL” skit in 2021.
The pair split up in August 2022 after nine months of dating with sources telling Page Six that the couple’s busy work schedules ultimately got in the way of their romantic relationship.
He called the public’s preoccupation with his love life “embarrassing because you want people to write about your work,” noting that at 20, he “was one of the youngest ever cast members on ‘SNL’ and all that got pushed to the side because of who I was dating.”
It’s not the first time “The King of Staten Island” star has bemoaned the interest in his love life.
Last December, Davidson told W magazine that he doesn’t want to be known as “this f–king loser who just dates people.”
“I just want to be known for doing good work. I want to be out there only when it’s [a] movie, stand-up, charity, or business ventures. That’s when I want to be seen. I don’t want to be this f—ing loser who just dates people. That’s not who I am,” he explained.
