Amanda Seyfried and Happy Valley alums James Norton and Sally Wainwright will be adding a dose of star power to this year’s Series Mania, while Pamela Adlon is to head up the jury.

Seyfried will attend promoting her Peacock series Long Bright River, which is having its French premiere in the international competition. In Long Bright River, which is based on the Liz Moore novel, Seyfried plays a Philadelphian police officer who works in a neighborhood with high drug use where a series of murders take place.

Long Bright River is in the international competition alongside the likes of Cooper Raiff’s Hal & Harper, with Raiff set to attend, Joe Wright’s Mussolini: Son Of The Century and Israel-America’s The German from Yes Studios.

The jury for these shows will be led by Emmy winner and Better Things star Pamela Adlon. The jury will consist of Victor Le Masne (musical director of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games), Argentinian-American actor Ignacio Serricchio (El Recluso), British director Minkie Spiro (3 Body Problem) and French actress Karin Viard (In the Shadows).

Elsewhere, Norton, who played Tommy Lee Royce in hit BBC series Happy Valley, will speak with his Rabbit Track Pictures co-founder Kitty Kalestky and Banijay UK boss Patrick Holland about boundary breaking between execs and talent.

“More and more on screen talent are taking a greater role behind the camera, running their own production labels and taking more control of their work both creatively and commercially,” reads the program note.

Norton and Kaletsky, who were on the front cover of our recent MIPCOM magazine, have CBS Studios’ King and Conqueror coming up and recently premiered ITV thriller Playing Nice.

Also on the bill is Wainwright, who will chat to Drama Republic boss Roanna Benn about her “new creative journey.” The Happy Valley auteur has made Riot Women for the BBC and BritBox and will “share with the audience how she works and where she draws her inspiration from.”

Others down to speak include Heartstopper EP Patrick Walters and Sky Studios boss Cécile Frot-Coutaz. Previously announced for the forum are big-hitters like WBD international boss Gerhard Zeiler and bosses at the French broadcasters.
