Philadelphia Eagles fans are passionate about their football team, but Saquon Barkley didn’t like them booing Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl.
The running back champion defended the “Fortnight” singer during a recent interview after he learned Swift was greeted with boos on Sunday night.
“They showed her on the Jumbotron, and she got booed,” Barkley said on The Howard Stern Show. “I don’t get it. I don’t get why she was getting hate there.”
Barkley said that Swift was at the game supporting Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, noting her contributions to the sport in general.

“She’s made the game bigger,” Barkley added. “We’re all about how can we expand the game and make it more internationally. And we’re traveling to Brazil, we’re traveling to Mexico, and her being a part of it is only helping us.”
Swift’s reaction to the booing went viral as she turned to look at her friend Ice Spice following the audience’s outcry over her image on the big screen at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
One person who was not kind like Barkley about Swift getting booed at the game was the current U.S. President Donald Trump. The individual who was found liable for sexual assault and defamation went on to Truth Social to troll the singer.
“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!” Trump posted on the social media platform.
Trump, who is also a felon after being found guilty in the hush money trial, also shared a set of videos displaying how Swift was greeted versus how the fans at the stadium greeted him.
Swift endorsed Kamala Harris for POTUS, and days after doing so, Trump took to social media to post, “I hate Taylor Swift.”
In subsequent interviews, Trump reiterated that he was not fond of Swift but took a liking to Brittany Mahomes, the wife of the Chiefs’ star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes.
