Jalen Hurts is making sure his money lasts a lifetime.
Despite signing a whopping $255 million deal with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023, the quarterback reportedly still lives in a $2,000-a-month apartment during the season.
According to the US Sun, Hurts has rented an apartment in Cherry Hill, NJ — a 20-minute drive from downtown Philly — since being drafted in 2020.
His original four-year contract was worth over $6 million — but he still deliberately decided to rent rather than buy for the sake of simplicity.
“I didn’t buy a house or anything like that when I got drafted because it was just me,” he said in a 2021 interview with GQ Sports.
“I didn’t need this big place just for myself. I just got me a little apartment. You know, something smooth that’ll last me for the time being.”
The 26-year-old, who is engaged to Bryonna “Bry” Burrows, reportedly stayed in the same rental even after landing his massive contract extension, which earns him $51 million per year.
While Hurts is still building his own real estate portfolio, he purchased each of his parents’ houses in his hometown of Humble, Texas.
He finally put down roots in his own name in 2023 when he bought a pricey piece of property near Houston for the off-season.
The NFL star reportedly spent $6 million on a 6,000-square-foot residence just 5 miles from his childhood home.
The six-bed, six-bath mansion features a large swimming pool and sits on a 10-acre lot, according to the Sun.
He also bought the house next door for an additional $2.68 million. It’s unclear if the lot was for extra privacy or if he plans to expand the property.
After winning his first Super Bowl on Sunday, Hurts may have to make room for a new trophy case.
The Eagles blew out the Kansas City Chiefs in a stunning 40-22 victory at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome.
Hurts completed 17 of 22 passes for 221 yards, earning him the MVP award.
