Bozoma Saint John slammed Kyle Richards for holding back while filming “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
In an exclusive interview with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea,” the Bravo newcomer says the two struggled to connect because Richards would not open up to her.
“Instead of it being a competition about who I’m friends with, it’s like, ‘Look, if you want me to be your friend, I can be your friend, but that means you got to tell me what’s going on,’” she tells us, suggesting that Richards refuses to connect with her due to her close friendship with Dorit Kemsley.
“It’s really as simple as that. It’s not any more complicated.”
“It’s not that like, ‘Oh well, let me go over here and help this person, because I like them better.’ It is that I don’t know any way to help you because you haven’t told me anything,” she adds while praising Dorit for being vulnerable in front of the cameras about her separation from Paul “PK” Kemsley.
The “Urgent Life” author even suggests that it “could be really helpful” for Richards to follow Dorit’s footsteps and be honest about her separation from Mauricio Umansky.
“You have to kind of talk about it, [and] you have to be expressive about it that way,” Saint John, 48, shares. “Your friends around you can also be supportive, can help you can give you advice.”
Since joining “RHOBH,” Saint John has struggled to connect with Richards. However, things only got worse when Saint John thought Richards was trying to recruit her to her side amid her feud with Dorit.
While trying to defend her friendship with PK amid his split from Dorit, Richards suggested the fashion designer had previously been too friendly with Umansky.
“Do you know there was a whole rumor? It was a stupid rumor, but I’m just gonna show you. There was a whole rumor started, because they’re like, ‘Dorit is way too touchy-feely with Mo,’” Richards, 56, said in an episode last month.
Richards then showed the former chief marketing officer of Netflix a screenshot from a 2022 “RHOBH” episode where Dorit kissed Umansky’s shoulder.
“I’ve been spending a lot of time with Dorit, so maybe Kyle wants to give me her perspective, so that I can have a more balanced opinion –– or maybe so she can win me over onto her side,” Saint John quipped at the time.
During our interview, Saint John also reveals she has quit dairy for good while promoting her partnership with Violife, a dairy-free cream cheese brand.
“I’m going to make my life better,” she raves. “I’m going to leave everything that is not for me in the past, and here we go! Brand new year. Here we go!”
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo and is available to stream on Peacock the next day.
