Japanese apparel brand BEAMS PLUS and American shoe manufacturer Sperry have united for a footwear and apparel collaboration, highlighting their shared appreciation for the classic boating styles that emerged during the 60s and 70s.
At the center of the collaboration is Sperry’s iconic 1935-born Circular Vamp Oxford (CVO) silhouette. “This collaboration with Sperry is a tribute to our long-standing partnership and a celebration of their 90th Anniversary! Sperry has been a cornerstone of Ivy Style, Prep Style, and BEAMS PLUS, and we’re incredibly grateful for their support and dedicated fanbase,” said Director of BEAMS PLUS Hideki Mizobata in a statement.

Updated with heavy-duty Nylon uppers for the BEAMS PLUS edition, the casual shoe is offered in white, red, and navy with Sperry’s Razor-Cut Wave-SipingTM for traction. The almost century-old model has endured through decades of evolving style for its versatile appeal and functional non-slip sole design, which was inspired by the texture of Paul Sperry’s dog’s paws.
The CVO rework is accompanied by an apparel collection made of vintage-inspired fabrics including outerwear, trousers, knits, shorts, graphic t-shirts and hats from the Quaker Marine Supply. Prints include a faded blue and white sailing pattern, applied to a matching jacket and shorts, and classic sailor stripes mirroring the shoe colorways. Across the collection bright hues of coral, aqua and yellow evoke an East Coast summertime feel.
The Sperry x BEAMS PLUS Nylon CVO is set for release on February 13, 2025 at BEAMS PLUS stores in Japan, select specialty retailers worldwide, and online at the Sperry and BEAMS web stores. BEAMS’ temporary NYC BEAMS PLUS LIMITED STORE at 199 Mulberry St will also stock the collaborative release from February 13-28.
