Gamescom Latam 2025 announced today that the distribution platform, Steam, will be present at the business (B2B) area of the event.
This is the first time Valve’s Steam subsidiary will be present at the Gamescom Latam event in São Paulo, Brazil. The aim is to provide learnings to developers and publishers.
Last year, Gamescom Latam combined with the BIG Festival and grew the joint event to more than 100,000 visitors for the gaming expo in São Paulo, Brazil. It reported 124 exhibitors and co-exhibitors from 66 countries, more than 700 studios and more than 200 publishers present.
The dominant platform for PC gaming, Steam is the leading ecosystem for digital game distribution. This is the first time that Steam will be present at an event of this kind in Latin America. With its presence at Gamescom Latam 2025, Steam seeks to approach and have more direct contact with developers and distributors in the region.
Steam also wants regional game people to help them learn more about the possibilities that the video game PC ecosystem offers for distribution, and to guide them through the best practices for a launch on Steam.
On top of having a booth in the business area (B2B) of Gamescom Latam 2025, Steam will offer two technical industry-focused talks about the global reach of PC gaming, whose speakers will be: Kassidy Gerber, business development; Alden Kroll, designer; and Nathaniel Blue, business development.
