Dave Portnoy thinks “first couple of the United States” Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift should get engaged at the Super Bowl 2025.
The Barstools Sports founder, 47, told a TMZ pap on Saturday that it “would be a great move” for the Kansas City Chiefs tight end to propose to the singer if his team beat the Philadephia Eagles on Sunday.
However, he did wonder whether proposing at the Super Bowl would be “sharing too much with the world.”
“But they kinda are the first couple of the United States, well, as big as it gets,” he reasoned.
Portnoy, who is a big Swiftie, added, “I don’t think he’s going to do it … But I’d be a fan.”
Swift, 35, touched down in New Orleans on Friday to support Kelce, also 35, and the Chiefs at Sunday’s highly anticipated match hosted at Caesars Superdome.
The 14-time Grammy winner was photographed holding hands with the “New Heights” co-host after enjoying “an intimate dinner” with Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes at a local French restaurant.
Swift stepped out wearing a little black dress, while Kelce sported an all-gray jumpsuit for the pre-game festivities.
The A-list group kept a low profile, as they left the eatery’s side door and hopped into a nearby SUV.
The “Cruel Summer” singer then enjoyed a girls’ night with her mom, Andrea Swift, Kylie Kelce and the HAIM sisters, Danielle and Alana Haim, on Saturday.
The pop star appeared in good spirits as she and her posse headed into Gianna Restaurant.
At one point in the night, Taylor’s dad, Scott Swift, joined the fun and was seen chatting with Kylie.
Travis, however, didn’t appear to be present for the outing in light of the big game.
If the Chiefs win Sunday’s game, they will make NFL history by achieving their third Super Bowl title in a row.
The match also marks the second Super Bowl Taylor has attended, as she was front and center for last year’s when the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers.
She and the professional footballer have been dating since the summer of 2023.
