UPDATED with Thursday’s winners: The Producers Guild of America continued with its 2025 PGA Awards winners announcements Thursday, revealing that the producing team behind FX’s docuseries Shōgun: The Making of Shōgun won for Outstanding Short Form Program and the producers of Cosm Studios’ Orbital was presented with the PGA Innovation Award.
The latest winners were announced tonight during the PGA’s annual West Coast celebration of the year’s nominees at NeueHouse in Venice.
The PGA Innovation Award is juried award that celebrates outstanding entertainment endeavors across VR, AR, experiential and other emerging media.
On Monday, the producing team behind Netflix’s docuseries Simone Biles Rising winning for Outstanding Sports Program and the producers of Max’s Sesame Street winning for Outstanding Children’s Program for a third consecutive year. That news came during the PGA’s East Coast celebration at Lincoln Ristorante in New York City.

The week’s events lead up the the 36th annual PGA Awards on Saturday at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles, where the guild will reveal the winner of its marquee Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures, its Oscar bellwether category that has aligned with the Academy Award winner for Best Picture 16 of the past 21 years. Last year, it aligned with Oscar by giving the award to Oppenheimer.
This year’s Zanuck nominees are the producers behind Anora, The Brutalist, A Complete Unknown, Conclave, Dune: Part Two, Emilia Pérez, A Real Pain, September 5, The Substance and Wicked.
Also during Saturday’s ceremony, the PGA will present honors to Chris Meledandri (David O. Selznick Achievement Award), Dana Walden (Milestone Award), Taika Waititi (Norman Lear Achievement Award), and Lynda Obst and Paula Weinstein (Trailblazer Award).
