The rumors had been going around for months but finally, in February of 2025, it was confirmed that Lily Allen and David Harbour are actually breaking up.
Harbour (who you may best recognize from Stranger Things) and Allen weren’t dating for long before they officially tied the knot September 7, 2020. According to People, the pair got married in a low-key Las Vegas ceremony, officiated by an Elvis impersonator and everything.
“In a wedding officiated by the king himself, the people’s princess wed her devoted, low born, but kind credit card holder in a beautiful ceremony lit by the ashen skies courtesy of a burning state miles away in the midst of a global pandemic,” Harbour wrote in his Instagram caption from the big day.

Unfortunately, a little more than four years later, it looks like the couple is calling it quits. So, here is our timeline of the (rather drawn out) Lily Allen and David Harbour separation, starting with most recent events.
February 4, 2025: People magazine reports that multiple sources have confirmed the Allen and Harbour split. “Her marriage has been crumbling and they have split,” the source claimed. However, neither Allen nor Harbour has given a statement directly. Another source tells People Allen is, “devastated and not in a good place.”
January 9, 2025: Allen alludes to going through difficult times on an episode of her podcast, Miss Me? “I’m finding it hard to be interested in anything. I’m really not in a good place,” she says “I know I’ve been talking about it for months, but I’ve been spiraling and spiraling. It’s got out of control. I’ve tried.” Amidst the divorce rumors already swirling, this was seen as further evidence that there was a split on the horizon.
January 6, 2025: After Allen’s active Raya profile was discovered, the Daily Mail claims that Allen returned to Raya in order to sleuth out Harbour‘s secret Raya profile, and discover if he was cheating. (Allen has not commented on either the sleuthing or the cheating allegations.)
December 25, 2024: On another episode of her Miss Me? podcast, Allen spoke (a little awkwardly), about spending the holidays alone. She said she would be flying between the United States, London, and Nairobi, Kenya, then suggested there had been some kind of last minute change of plans, because she’d “completely forgotten” about her family’s tickets to see The Nutcracker in New York City, per The Independent.
December 23 2024: Allen has reappeared on Raya, the A-lister dating app where she and Harbour originally met. According to the Daily Mail, Allen’s profile quipped, “Looking for someone to do couple’s therapy with.”
December 2024: Allen begins to be seen without her wedding ring, including when recording her Miss Me? podcast.
