Randy Meyer Racing has announced that Matt Cummings will be joining their team as a full-time driver for the 2025 NHRA season.
His signing is the latest development for a team that has built a reputation for excellence and a long history of successes within the NHRA circuit.
Cummings comes to Randy Meyer Racing with an impressive track record and experience that includes two regional titles and an overall second-place finish in the national standings in 2022. Team owner Randy Meyer said about Cummings:
“Matt’s previous experience and dedication makes him an excellent addition to our team.
“We’re excited to work with someone that has already won races in Top Alcohol Dragster (TAD) as he continues to hone his skills and grow as a competitor. His drive to win aligns with our team’s goals, and we look forward to helping him achieve his championship aspirations.”

In 2024, Randy Meyer Racing had a remarkable season with 10 race victories. Over the past 46 years, Randy Meyer Racing has amassed over 100 NHRA wins and five world championships.
Before joining Randy Meyer Racing, Matt Cummings carved out a successful racing career. He was the defending East Region champion in Top Alcohol Dragster, driving with the McPhillips team.
During the 2024 season, he raced in three final rounds and emerged victorious in one.
Cummings spoke about joining Randy Meyer Racing, commenting:
“When I acquired my Top Alcohol Dragster license, Randy was the team I wanted to be a part of someday.
“All the teams watched and paid attention to Randy’s team. Their professionalism, presentation and performance on the track aligned with my expectations. The Randy Meyer Racing Team also gives me the best opportunity to move to Top Fuel.
“I feel with my experience from over 500-plus runs in TAD, I can contribute to the team. Mostly I’m looking forward to my first run in competition and the verbal exchange about how the car should react from Randy Meyer.”
Cummings will debut with Randy Meyer Racing at significant events, such as the Baby Gators from February 28 to March 1, followed by the GatorNationals from March 6 to 9, 2025, in Gainesville, Florida.
