Before Meghan Markle married Prince Harry, she was close friends with her Suits co-star Abigail Spencer, and the relationship has lasted long past their final episode together. Now, Spencer is set to appear in Meghan’s upcoming Netflix series With Love, Meghan, which will premiere on March 4. At the American Heart Association Red Dress Concert in New York City Thursday, Spencer mentioned how much she enjoyed the experience.

“I learned a lot from her and she actually gets to teach me something on the show,” the actor told People. “I’m just so grateful.”
Spencer added that she thinks the series will give viewers a chance to get to know Meghan. “What I’m so excited about is that people will really get an authentic look at the woman that I love and know,” she said. “It’s really from her heart. It really is with love.”
The show was originally slated to air on January 15, but the destructive Los Angeles wildfires led Netflix to postpone its air date while Meghan and Harry focused on relief efforts. Over the course of eight episodes, the show will follow Meghan and guests including Spencer, Mindy Kaling, makeup artist Daniel Martin, chefs Roy Choi and Alice Waters, and Vicky Tsai, the founder of beauty brand Tatcha, and more as they share tips about food, gardening, and entertaining.
Earlier this month, Kaling spoke about the upcoming series and her friendship with Meghan while on the Golden Globes red carpet. “She can do anything,” the actor told Variety. “She’s just such a thoughtful, creative person with stuff [at home], and she has a garden. She legitimately has gardens, so it was really fun for someone like me.”
She also responded to criticism that the show’s trailer looked out-of-touch. “I just feel like people get mad about stuff,” Kaling said. “That feels unnecessary. And a waste of time, maybe.”
