In the aftermath of the devastating Southern California wildfires, Los Angeles-based brand Slowtide is giving back to the city that raised them with a limited edition Artist Series Collection in support of relief efforts.
Featuring exclusive designs from Cleon Peterson, Geoff McFetridge, Jen Stark, Thomas Campbell, Robbie Simon, Ty Williams, Anna Fusco, Dabs Myla and Real Fun. Wow! (Daren Thomas Magee,) some of whom have lost their homes or studios in the disaster, the collection captures a uniquely-LA essence – its flora, fauna, people and places – reflecting the vibrant spirit that brings the region to life. From Campbell’s multi-patterned patchwork to Peterson’s striking mountain scene, this special series serves as an ode to the city and the resilience of its affected communities.
“Los Angeles holds a special place in our hearts — it’s home to our friends, family, and so many talented artists we’ve had the privilege of working with over the years. But right now, our artist community is hurting,” the brand shared in a recent post. “The road to recovery is long, but together, we can make an impact.
All proceeds from the sale will benefit the LAFD Foundation, an organization that supports the Los Angeles Fire Department by providing funding for safety equipment and other materials to fuel their critical work.
Priced at $50 USD, each towel measures 30 x 60 inches and is entirely made from recycled waste. For more information about the collection, head to Slowtide’s site before the presale ends on Tuesday, January 28th at 11:59 PM PST.
