We’re not even a month into 2025 and there are already plenty of sneaker drops to get ready for. Between official reveals, runway shows, leaked pairs and rumored releases, we’ve rounded up all of the key storylines to be aware of (as of January 23, at least). Nike and Jordan Brand are known to have their projects leak the earliest, which explains their dominant presence on the list. In addition to this, the release dates and periods are subject to change. Dive into the complete roster below, and if patience isn’t your forte, hit up HBX to shop new styles that are available now.
Nike Doernbecher Collection (January 2025)
Nike and OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital are back with their 20th collection of kicks created by patient-designers. The duo has already raised $40 million USD for the hospital over the past two decades and is ready to fundraise even more as six lively sneakers hit shelves to start the year. The Nike Air 180, Air Jordan 6, Air Max Dn, Air Zoom Pegasus 41, Sabrina 2 and Air Max Sunder have all been reimagined by young creatives, resulting in each silhouette appearing in some of their most unique colorways to date.
Jordan Brand “Year of the Snake” Collection (January 2025)
The Jumpman team is again celebrating the Lunar New Year by assembling a Year of the Snake-themed collection. Popular Air Jordan silhouettes like the Air Jordan 1 Low – in both its OG and standard form – Air Jordan 5 and Air Jordan 11 Low are joined by the Tatum 3 and Stadium 90 in donning white compositions that are accented by iridescent detailing. Each pair comes with a snakeskin Jumpman-branded hangtag, as well as a thematic shoe box to commemorate the festivities.
Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy” (February 2025)
You may recognize the Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy” from last year’s preview of releases to come, however, the shoe ended up being delayed to a 2025 release. Nevertheless, it remains just as anticipated, if not more, since the model had a strong return to form last year. To recap its history, the out-of-this-world pair originally dropped in 2012 during NBA All-Star Weekend and was met with incredible demand as its “Galaxy” print across the upper drew attention from sneakerheads all over the planet. Will it have the same impact a decade and some change later? The jury’s still out on that, but it’ll be a compelling story to follow.
Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 “Brick By Brick” (March 14)
Nigel Sylvester’s partnership with Jordan Brand has evolved significantly over the years, resulting in him becoming one of the Jumpman team’s most notable collaborators. Hot off of the introduction of the Air Jordan 4 RM last year, the two are kicking off 2025 with a new “Brick By Brick” version of the AJ4. The premium orange pair pays homage to Sylvester’s come up and his hometown of New York City. Off-white detailing is present at not only the rear portion of the midsole, but the forefoot’s mini Swoosh and heel’s “BIKE AIR” branding as well.
Yuto Horigome x Nike SB Dunk Low “Asparagus” (Spring 2025)
Japanese skater Yuto Horigome claimed his second consecutive Olympic gold medal in street skateboarding last year, rocking his first SB Dunk Low collaboration during the competition. The shoe was a hit in 2023 and is serving as the template for a second pair. Presented in “Asparagus,” the green and brown colorway again features his cross-feather logo at the lateral heel.
Nike Air Max Craze (Spring 2025)
As Nike continues to bring back silhouettes from its expansive archive, the Air Max Craze is next up to spend time in the spotlight. Initially released in 2001, the sneaker was revealed to be returning by the Swoosh during its latest SNKRS Showcase livestream. It is also the subject of a rumored Martine Rose collaboration, which would bring even more visibility to its comeback.
ROMBAUT x PUMA Levitation (SS25)
Of the many Paris Fashion Week presentations for Spring/Summer 2025, one that stood out the most footwear-wise was ROMBAUT and its PUMA Levitation collaboration. Created for the Parisian label’s debut show, the Levitation and Levitation Sock both take on a sock-like shape that features a futuristic twist with PUMA’s Formstrip logo extending far beyond the heel of the upper. The color schemes range from dirtied and distressed to a sleek all-black.
sacai x Nike Zegamadome (SS25)
Chitose Abe’s sacai has revived many silhouettes from Nike’s archive over the years and is due to do so once again with its three Zegamadome colorways that were first spotted during its SS25 runway show last June. Combining 1981’s Nike Lava Dome with the modern-day Nike Zegama, its white, black and gray/black colorways all feature a printed Swoosh atop the two standard Swooshes at the midfoot, as well as two sets of intertwined laces. The Zegama’s typical ZoomX sole cushioning is present and joined by a Vibram outsole to complete its trail-readiness.
COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS x Nike Sense 96 (SS25)
COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS is back with the Swoosh for another year of collaborations, starting with its own hybrid silhouette – the Sense 96. Combining an Air Max 96 upper with the sole unit of an ISPA Sense Flyknit, the resulting sneaker blends past and present seamlessly. CdGH+’s wordmark is featured at the tongue of three colorways of pink and off-white, all-black and off-white.
Junya Watanabe x Oakley Factory Team (SS25)
Junya Watanabe has been one of Oakley Factory Team’s biggest co-signers to date. The two have teamed up on familiar footwear silhouettes in recent seasons and are taking things in a new direction for SS25. A new technical sneaker features a bulky shape that sports various oval-shaped gaps in its overlays. Not only are traditional laces present at the tongue but a tightening system runs across the sides of the all-black and all-white uppers.
Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Dodgers” (April 13)
The Nike Basketball team had impeccable timing last year as it teamed up with the Los Angeles Dodgers to reveal a special Kobe 6 Protro “Dodgers” colorway just before the franchise went on to win its 8th World Series title. As fans of the team are eager to see if the stacked roster, reinforced even further with multiple big-budget free agent signings and Shohei Ohtani’s return to being a two-way player can repeat its successful run, the special blue, white and red colorway is on its way to release shortly after the MLB begins its 2025 season.
Nike Kobe 8 Protro “What The” (April 13)
It’s been a couple of years since Nike Basketball brought back the Kobe 8 in Protro form and it continues to be the subject of new colorways and re-releases. The most notable pair to be hitting shelves in 2025 is a reissue of the “What The” colorway that captivated fans back in 2013. This mash-up of nearly 30 Kobe 8 looks stands out with not only its eye-catching pattern, but mismatched appearance too.
A.P.C. x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 (April 2025)
A.P.C. is bringing its Parisian flair to ASICS this year as the brand has assembled its own take on the ever-popular GEL-KAYANO 14 runner. An initial colorway surfaced in December 2024 and sees a white mesh base accompanied by white and metallic silver at the various overlays. Co-branding arrives at the sockliner, dubrae and heel tab, the latter two of which sees the ASICS “A” in place of the standard A.P.C. “A” lettering.
Air Jordan 4 “White Cement” (May 24)
The Air Jordan 4 had an incredible run in 2024 as Jordan Brand gave the silhouette a proper celebration for its 35th anniversary. Building on this momentum, the Jumpman team is preparing to release several anticipated AJ4s this year, including the return of the OG “White Cement” colorway. As expected, it sports a white leather upper that is accompanied by the look’s iconic “cement print” at the wings, heel tab and midsole.
Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 “Navy” (Summer 2025)
Nike SB teamed up with Jordan Brand to elevate the Air Jordan 4 with a new skate-oriented build in 2023, releasing a “Pine Green” colorway that served as one of the year’s biggest releases. It didn’t take long for rumors about a sequel to surface and we’re finally being treated to a Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 “Navy” version this year. The revised construction is back, this time with blue as the accent color, and again sees Nike SB branding present at the heel.
UNDEFEATED x Air Jordan 4 (Summer 2025)
Nike has made it clear that no sneaker in its vault is above being re-released. Last year saw the ultra-limited Nike Dunk High “Wu-Tang” embraced by the masses and the next grail to hit retail shelves looks to be 2005’s UNDEFEATED x Air Jordan 4 that, upon its original release, was only produced in a run of 72 pairs. While we remain without a preview of the 2025 version, it is said to be dropping in two slightly different looks. The first matches the original MA-1 flight jacket-inspired colorway with Jumpman branding at the heel while the other version features the Nike Air logo instead.
Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jack “Bright Cactus” (Summer 2025)
Travis Scott presented not one, but two of his own signature shoes with the Swoosh in 2024. The Jordan Jumpman Jack was featured several times and landed a spot in the SNKRS platform’s top five most popular releases of the year. One pair that was highlighted in 2024 but has still yet to hit shelves is this “Bright Cactus” colorway. Its signature yellow-green hue is present at the toe box and midfoot underlays while off-white covers a majority of the upper alongside black contrast that is delivered by the Swooshes, collar and midsole.
Nike Kobe 3 Protro “Halo” (August 23)
For the past two years, Nike Basketball has celebrated Kobe Day with a special all-white “Halo” version of a Kobe Protro silhouette. It first reintroduced the Kobe 8 to sneakerheads and then brought back the Kobe 9 in 2024. This year, it’s said to revisit the Kobe 3, kicking off its return to retail shelves in all-white as many additional colorways are anticipated to be dropping afterwards.
YZY BL-01 (TBC)
Ye has made it clear that he’s done with traditional collaborations, having grown his YZY brand to the point where it can serve his massive audience. He recently dropped a $20 USD slipper named the YZY SL-01 and went on to reveal the YZY BL-01 – aka “The Bullys” – a new sneaker that is seemingly inspired by retro skate silhouettes. Absent a lacing system, its straightforward upper is presented in all-black and looks to combine nubuck and mesh for its bulky build. While he’s stuck to a $20 USD price point with his previous YZY products, only time will tell if he’s able to somehow maintain that figure with this release.
Westside Gunn x Saucony ProGrid Omni 9 and Triumph 4 (TBC)
When Westside Gunn announced his new partnership with Saucony last October, it was assumed that it would take time for anything from the duo to materialize. However, the Griselda rapper was quick to post a sample of his vibrant take on the ProGrid Triumph 4 just two months later. While no details regarding their debut shoe are set in stone, at least publicly, the new partnership will be an important one to follow this year as Saucony continues to make waves in the lifestyle sphere.
Supreme x Nike SB Dunk Low (TBC)
Supreme and Nike have assembled yet another range of SB Dunk Lows, with five new colorways on the way from the high-powered duo. Early previews of the collection see “Ocean Fog,” “Camper Green” and “Ink” all utilize suede across their uppers while the “White” iteration appears in leather and “Black” version favors nubuck. Regardless of its material composition, each sneaker features a “94” callout at the lateral heel, nodding to Supreme’s founding year of 1994, as well as Supreme branding at the midsole.
Tom Sachs x NikeCraft Mars Yard 3.0 (TBC)
Tom Sachs’ legendary NikeCraft Mars Yard series is officially continuing this year. The American artist had colorways of his own sneaker – the NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe – releasing each season until his partnership with the Swoosh was suspended following reports of Sachs’ inappropriate behavior towards his studio staff. However, Nike announced last September that Sachs has “demonstrated and recommitted to fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity,” and that the partnership is resuming with the release of a Mars Yard 3.0 sneaker this year. Given that its two predecessors fetch many thousands of dollars per pair on secondhand markets, this drop is sure to cause plenty of commotion.
Signature Shoe Sequels
New life has been brought to the basketball shoe scene thanks to the debut of several exciting signature shoe lines. Anthony Edwards’ adidas AE1 was a certified hit, Devin Booker found plenty of success with the Nike BOOK 1 and Kyrie Irving brought international attention to ANTA with his ANTA KAI 1. All three are likely to have sequels on the way this year and sneakerheads are excited to see if all three can maintain their dominant pace. Other exciting sequels include the Air Jordan 40, Nike LeBron 23 and adidas Harden Vol. 9, the latter of which is debuting this week.
New Signature Shoe Lines
On top of existing signature shoe lines, two basketball stars are expected to release their debut models. A’ja Wilson has her Nike A’One in the works and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will be releasing his first performance sneaker with Converse. In addition to this, while neither are due to drop this year, news regarding both Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese’s debut sneakers with Nike and Reebok respectively is sure to bring in plenty of excitement too.
Air Jordan 1 40th Anniversary
2025 marks 40 years of the Air Jordan 1 and Jordan Brand has made it abundantly clear that it will be celebrating this milestone throughout the year. Between its collaborations, returning classics and new looks, the AJ1 could have occupied all 25 spots on this list. Standouts pictured here include a rumored fragment design x Union LA x AJ1 High OG, the AJ1 ‘85 “Bred,” the rumored return of the AJ1 Low OG “Chicago” and Rui Hachimura’s new AJ1 Low OG “Cranes.” If you want to know all about what’s in store for the iconic sneaker this year, you’ll have to visit our unofficial guide to the AJ1’s 40th anniversary that went live at the start of the year.
