Marshall is marking Lunar New Year with a special edition of its popular Emberton III portable speaker.
Created in collaboration with Chinese visual artist 野 Dark Question, the reimagined Emberton III honors the upcoming Year of the Snake and is part of wider celebrations that Marshall has planned for the Lunar New Year that the brand’s calling “Woodsnake 2025”. Marshall says the theme was “inspired by legendary music festivals” – no prizes for guessing correctly, but it’s Woodstock if you didn’t know – and that it will “hit the road on a global tour, with events taking place across China, as well as in Paris, and New York, where Marshall will connect with local communities to celebrate Lunar New Year” throughout the year.
The special edition speaker is decked out in army olive green and burnt orange colors, with packaging reminiscent of vintage firecracker and psychedelic rock artwork.
Other than the cosmetic update, it keeps all the features Marshall fans love about the original Emberton III speaker, including the “32+ hours” of portable playback time promised on a single charge (which varies depending on usage), true stereo sound, an IP67 rating that protects it against dirt, dust, and light splashes of water, built-in microphones that let user’s make calls and Bluetooth LE connectivity, the “low energy” and more power efficient version of Bluetooth that maximises battery time.
The Marshall Emberton III “Lunar New Year Edition 2025” is available now worldwide priced at £179.99 GBP / $189.99 USD / €199.99 EUR.
