BAO is ringing in the Year of the Snake with a vibrant celebration at Dover Street Market locations in London, Ginza and Singapore. The event features an immersive Convenience Store installation and exclusive designer collaborations, blending fashion, culture and culinary delights.
Drawing inspiration from the lively culture of Asian convenience stores, the BAO & Friends Convenience Store pop-up offers a curated selection of exclusive merchandise. Highlights include embroidered caps, engraved Zippo lighters and custom water bottles, all featuring BAO’s iconic Lonely Man character reimagined in festive Lunar New Year designs.
The collection also showcases a stellar lineup of designer collaborations. Key pieces include Lunar New Year-themed T-shirts and tote bags from Carhartt WIP, snake-inspired necklaces by Simone Rocha and reimagined Vera bags from HAI. Additional standout items include sad-face motif jewelry by YVMIN, chic headscarves by SHUSHU/TONG, rubber clogs by Deathmask and colorful hair scrunchies by Good Squish.
Beyond fashion, the event offers a culinary experience to complement the creativity on display. The Convenience Store shelves will be stocked with Taiwanese-inspired snacks and drinks, including BAO signatures like Weeping Sake and Umeshu Negronis. A must-try is BAO’s new Chilli Crisp Oil, a flavorful condiment made with black beans and crispy shallots.
The week-long BAO & Friends pop-up kicks off on January 16 at Dover Street Market locations in London, Ginza and Singapore. Exclusive items will be available both in-store and online.
