The Writers Guild of America West and the Producers Guild of America have both partnered with the Entertainment Community Fund to provide relief to members who have been affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.

The WGAW Board as well as a number of members have already pledged more than $700,000 to the newly established Writers Guild Member Fund to provide grants to those in need, the guild said in a memo to members on Tuesday.

Likewise, the PGA said Tuesday that it will be contributing a portion of the net proceeds from the Producers Guild Awards to its own fund. Along with donations from members, $300,000 has already been committed. Anyone in need of financial assistance through this fund is encouraged to apply here.

“Solidarity is our strength and our Guild community comes together in times of crisis. Now is such a time,” the WGAW’s memo read.

The WGAW also shared other resources, including a survey for those who have lost their homes or were forced to evacuate and are in need of specific items so that the organization can help procure them. The guild also continues to provide emergency assistance to those in need via their Good & Welfare loans. A hub on the guild’s website provides a full list of resources available to members at this time.

The WGAW and the PGA are the latest Hollywood organizations to pledge additional financial assistance to wildfire relief, following in SAG-AFTRA’s footsteps. The actors’ union pledged $1 million to its SAG-AFTRA Foundation over the weekend.

They join other entertainment affiliates who have pledged financial aid, including the Motion Picture Television Fund, Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation, Annenberg Foundation and Wasserman Foundation and many more.

All three guilds also postponed nominations announcements for their respective award shows indefinitely after the fires broke out on January 7. The remainder of this year’s award season remains uncertain as most organizations shift their focus to wildfire relief efforts for the time being.
