One of the lavish mansions showcased on HBO‘s Succession has reportedly burnt down in the Palisades Fire that has now ravaged over 22,000 acres in the affluent beachside neighborhood.

According to the Daily Mail — which has published before-and-after photos of the sprawling 18-bathroom, 6-bedroom home — the property was featured in the fourth and final season of the dramedy, serving as a luxury mainstay for the Roy siblings, played by Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin and Sarah Snook.

Scooped up by Luminar Technologies CEO Austin Russell for $83 million in 2021, the San Onofre estate was perched atop a one-acre promontory in the Santa Monica Mountains. The opening minutes of Succession Season 4 prominently feature the mega-mansion’s winding driveway, infinity pool and breathtaking views.

While the Emmy-winning series does not make clear to whom the home belongs, the trio are there to plan out their next moves following the Season 3 finale, which left them sparring with their father Logan Roy (Brian Cox) as he revealed his plot to sell conglomerate Waystar Royco to unpredictable tech billionaire Alexander Skarsgård’s Lukas Mattson. Much of this discussion takes place amid the Ardie Tavangarian-developed home’s board formed concrete walls and showroom kitchen.

As seen in the pictures, the razed structure has been largely reduced to a blackened shell, with exposed metal beams and ash-strewn debris. Prior to the destruction, the stunning 20,000 square-foot home — previously available for rent at an unseemly $450,000 per month — included multiple pools, a 20-seat movie theater, backlit blue onyx bar, indoor-outdoor gym, automotive gallery, ballistic-safe room and massage/spa room with side-by-side cold and hot plunge pools.

Additional swanky perks included a zen garden with a 200-pound bronze Buddha statue imported from Thailand, as well as a terrace with a glass pool and greenhouse. One of the more unique features of the ship-like, wooden house was a retractable ceiling in the owner’s bedroom that gave way to a huge sunroof for stargazing. There was also a retinal-scan security system.

Located at 1601 San Onofre Dr., the listing was described as an “avant-garde masterpiece that transcends conventional luxury. This architectural tour de force commands breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor opulence through cutting-edge design and bespoke craftsmanship.” That included the sourcing of exotic global materials, a Nobu-designed chef’s kitchen and a temperature-controlled wine lounge.

The mansion, built in 2020, is among several notable locales used for Hollywood productions that have been destroyed by the Palisades and Eaton blazes, which have collectively leveled 10,000 structures and burned 36,000 acres. The Altadena mansion used in another HBO show, Hacks, was also razed to the ground recently.
