Deemed the Master Control Calendar, JLC’s Q1558420 is not nearly as well known as the Reverso, yet it is a classic and understated master class in precision. The Master Control family hard launched in 1992, but the Q1558420 was introduced in 2020, boasting its dual-certification process and a pure dedication to the art of beyond-accurate time-keeping.
Its 866 movement has a 70-hour power reserve and a date display with an unobstructed moonphase display. For those who are interested in a classic calendar watch, this model presents impressive value over some of the higher-priced, more mechanical offerings from competitor brands.
Last month, demand for Chrono24 spiked nearly two times over any other point of the year. Notably, the Master Control Calendar has also been spotted on the wrist of Robert Downey Jr.

Last month, demand for this model climbed across Chrono24, reaching nearly the same heights as demand seen earlier this spring. Given the Cartier Drive De Cartier’s slightly modernized, masculine case design, the surge in its popularity is interesting. At 41mm, the case is both hefty yet slim. The Drive De Cartier family offers a nod to the expertly curved case lines associated with the brand but with a bolder approach to linear design and a cushioned-shaped crystal — a subtle feature that makes a huge difference up close.

There aren’t a lot of debates more classic than Coke VS Pepsi, sodas and watches alike. Fizzy drinks aside, the Rolex “Coke” GMT-Master II 16710BLRO references its red and black bezel insert. Rolex GMT fans run deep, feeding off of the watch’s long heritage with the brand. The 16710BLRO maintains the vintage vibe of the family it was born into, which lovers of nostalgic tool watches delight over.
Throughout the past two months, Chrono24 has seen demand leap back up for the model, almost matching peak demand in 2023.
OMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch 310.30.42.50.01.001
The story behind the OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch is a legendary one, even outside of the watch world. Reference 310.30.42.50.01.001 arrived in early 2021, joining the ranks of one of the highest-regarded watch families in history. Built with a 3861 movement, the shape of the case of this model is notable, as it references the vintage Speedies of the 1960s.
What a lot of Omega fans like in this model is that it is METAS-certified, meaning you can swim with it thanks to its 50 ATM water resistance. Demand for this Moonwatch has remained relatively stable over the past two years, but last month peaked at levels not seen since February 2023. From NASA astronauts to a long list of red carpet sightings, the Moonwatch’s legacy is clearly alive and well.
Cartier Panthere WSPN0006
Back to the Cartier craze! The Cartier Panthere WSPN0006 joins Chrono24’s list of the most in-demand watches last month, approximately tripling demand since the start of 2023. Of course, it is built with a quartz movement as is customary for the brand, but it functions just as great, making it a versatile watch for all occasions.
Its slim lines and understated modernity have proven to have unisex appeal and add to the Maison’s continued conquest of red carpets worldwide. Chrono24 imagines December’s demand to be the result of some very lucky holiday gift recipients. It has also been a favorite among A-list celebrities, including Pierce Brosnan and Zendaya.
