‘Jurassic World’ Franchise Star Daniella Pineda Loses Altadena House In Wildfire: “I Have 1 Pair Of Shoes To My Name”

Jurassic World franchise star Daniella Pineda is among the many Hollywood celebs to lose their homes in the L.A. wildfires, the actress seeing the first house she ever bought go up in flames.

Pineda detailed the tragedy in a recent emotional Instagram post.

“This was the first house that I ever bought. My very first. The fire broke out so fast all I could grab was my dog and my laptop and that was it. I lost everything else. I have 1 pair of shoes to my name. I’m happy to be alive. Grateful to be alive. People really show up for one another when disaster hits. Thank you to everyone who offered to help me.”

Pineda also continued, “This may seem silly to some, but I had two Beta fish that I absolutely loved. Always made sure their temp was just right, spoiled them, played with them. Loved them. They were precious and brought me joy everyday. Things are things, they are meaningless. Living creatures, humans, our environment, this is what matters.”

The actress who frequently shares memories of her childhood, and photos of her family on her IG account, added in the story portion, “I think I was in shock yesterday. All my baby pictures (I only had a few), my clothes, things I had of my grandpa, I just cannot believe it. My childhood journals. I keep thinking I can just go back.”

“I was working so hard to fix it up, my new house. I’m beyond devasted. I found a place to live for the time being, thankfully. Please help those in need where you can. Yesterday was the craziest day of my life, or one of them.”

Other celebrities to lose their homes include Paris Hilton, Billy Crystal, Leighton Meester, Adam Brody, multi-Oscar nominated songwriter Diane Warren, Jamie Lee Curtis, General Hospital’s Cameron Mathison, and Mandy Moore.

Pineda, whose credits include Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom, Jurassic World: Dominion, the Netflix live-action series Cowboy: Bebop, the TBS series The Detour, the Gerard Butler movie Plane, next stars in Amazon MGM Studio’s Accountant 2 opposite Ben Affleck.

Five people died in the Eaton Fire northeast of Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The fire started Tuesday night at roughly 6:20 p.m. in Altadena area, according to Cal Fire. What started as a 10 acre fire mushroomed to 400 actress by Tuesday night then 10,000 acres by Wednesday morning, spurred by strong winds.
