Zendaya and Tom Holland are reportedly engaged.
After Zendaya sported an eye-catching diamond ring designed by Jessica McCormack on the Golden Globes 2025 red carpet Sunday night, setting off speculation about whether longtime partner Holland had popped the question, a source confirmed to People Monday that the couple are engaged.
Holland reportedly proposed to his longtime partner sometime between Christmas and New Year’s. “He’s always been crazy about her,” the source told People. “He always knew she was the one. They have something very special.”
Zendaya attended the Globes, where she was nominated for Challengers, without Holland. He recently told Men’s Health in an interview that he’ll often choose to stand back and let his partner shine at events “because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us.”
Zendaya was spotted at the awards ceremony proudly showing off her left hand to producer Amy Pascal, former chairperson of Sony, and played it cool when a Los Angeles Times reporter attempted a bonding moment between two recently affianced gals in the name of confirmation.
“As Zendaya exited the ballroom, a recently engaged Times reporter held up her left ring finger and pointed at it,” LAT’s Amy Kaufman wrote Sunday. “The actor responded by flashing her own bling on her left hand, doing a sort of jazz-fingers motion. ‘Are you engaged?’ The Times asked. She kept showing her ring, smiled coyly, and shrugged her shoulders mysteriously.”
Another extremely fashionable tip-off that the ring may have special significance was the lack of identification in press releases breaking down Zendaya’s look. She paired her copper Louis Vuitton ballgown with a dazzling statement collar necklace from Bulgari (she is a global brand ambassador), featuring 105 diamonds and a 31-carat Paraíba tourmaline at center stage, but the ring wasn’t mentioned by the brand in their releases about the awards fashion. Naturally, the whole ensemble landed Zendaya a spot on Vanity Fair’s best-dressed list of the night.
The duo has co-starred in several installments of the Spider-Man franchise, and were a rumored couple long before they confirmed their relationship status on Instagram in 2021. Last year, Zendaya told Vanity Fair that she loves working on-screen with her significant other and feels safe with him. “That’s how we met,” she said. “Literally, at a chemistry read.” The two are set to co-star next in 2026’s adaptation of The Odyssey, directed by Christopher Nolan. This most recent news also means that they will, of course, share top billing at a wedding.
Representatives for Tom Holland and Zendaya did not immediately respond to Vanity Fair’s requests for comment.
