Dethroned Miss North Carolina USA winner Brittany Boltinhouse emphatically refused to apologize for using the N-word in old social media posts — as she doubled down on claims she was stripped of her title because of her religious and conservative beliefs.
Boltinhouse, 27, is gearing up to file a lawsuit after she was forced to give back the crown over the disturbing posts she is accused of penning between 2017 and 2019.
“I’m going to address those [posts] in my lawsuit. I’m not going to deny them or run from them,” she told the Daily Mail Wednesday.
“But they did not take my crown because of those posts. [It] was because of my political and religious stance.
“My rights were violated and I’m going to stand up for myself. They defined a narrative and I’m here to redefine that now.”
When asked if she should apologize for the posts, she arrogantly responded, “No. Not at all.”
Last week, Boltinhouse suggested that her beliefs influenced pageant organizers’ decision to strip her of the title she won in June.
“I believe and think I was stripped of my title because of my political stance, and my belief system as a conservative Christian woman,” she told Carolina Journal Friday before revealing she’s a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
“I am proud of my faith. I’m proud of my standards. I’m a proud conservative woman, but a Christian woman.
“I’m a God-fearing woman. I will never let my guard down for my faith. I think you have the right to be a conservative in this country. It’s a constitutional right.”
In a statement provided to The Post, Blaize Productions, which runs the compeition in North Carolina and other states, denied Boltinhouse’s claims.
“A Blaize Productions’ decision was not based on Brittany Boltinhouse’s political views, religious beliefs, or protected personal viewpoints. Our organization includes people from various backgrounds, political views, personal beliefs and values. We welcome and celebrate that,” a spokesperson said.
“The decision followed a careful review of the totality of information that came to our attention, including previously undisclosed conduct and public content spanning multiple years that was inconsistent with the standards and responsibilities expected of a Miss North Carolina USA titleholder under the agreements governing the position.”
Myla Hadley, the pageant’s first runner-up, will now represent North Carolina at Miss USA, which kicks off in Miami, Florida, on Aug. 24.
