Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans gave an update on Dell after the game.
“Tank has a significant knee injury and he will be staying here in Kansas City overnight and getting further evaluations and we’ll get an update tomorrow,” Ryans said.
“All of our thoughts and prayers are with Tank right now,” Ryans continued. “You guys have seen what he means to our entire team. It hurts to see him go down like that. He was having a fantastic game, playing really well for us. He was in a really great spot. We just want to keep him in our thoughts and prayers right now.”
Dell was having a fantastic game, making six receptions for 98 yards and one touchdown. In total this season, Dell has recorded 45 receptions for 569 yards and two touchdowns.

Multiple players on the Texans had emotional reactions to Dell’s injury. Quarterback CJ Stroud was scene crying on the field when it happened.
“That’s my best friend so it’s not easy to just move on and keep playing,” Stroud said after the game.
“I believe in healing. I pray that the Lord can heal him and that this is just something that will be another bump in the road for Tank. This is not the end for Tank. This is just the beginning.”
“He’s just one of my brothers,” wide receiver Nico Collins said. “You don’t want to see one of your brothers go down like that, especially with the hard work and grind and time he put in every day.”
“It sucks. Especially the season he had last year, he got hurt. So we knew his mindset coming into this year. The dude’s special. His mindset every day was to come out to work. He always brings energy.”
