The Spirit of Big Bang Sang Bleu All Black Pavé marks the latest collaboration between Hublot and Swiss tattoo artist Maxime Plescia-Buchi, merging the watch Maison’s All Black concept with the Spirit of Big Bang case.
The duo have been collaborating since 2016, amalgamating elements from tattoo art into high horology. This limited edition comes in a 42mm polished black-plated case, adorned with 180 black diamonds while also combining Plescia-Buchi’s iconic tattoo artistry as well as sharp lines and three-dimensional geometric patterns that flow seamlessly from the case to the bezel.
The watch is powered by the HUB4700 self-winding skeleton chronograph, an high-frequency in-house movement boasting 36,000 vph and a power reserve of 50 hours. Accompanying the timepiece is a smooth, black rubber strap that completes its tonal color scheme.
Maxime Plescia-Buchi describes the collaboration as an architectural project, with the Spirit of Big Bang collection representing a blend of geometric aesthetics and enhanced ergonomics. Hublot’s CEO, Julien Tornare also emphasizes the long-standing creative synergy between the Maison and Plescia-Buchi, which has resulted in unique models that fuse geometric design, artistic precision and profound symbolism.
A limited run of 200 pieces, the Spirit of Big Bang Sang Bleu All Black Pavé boasts a retail price of $47,100 USD and is currently available for inquiry through the Maison. The limited-edition timepiece will debut in China before its global release. For more details, visit Hublot’s official website.
