WWE and professional wrestling as a whole seem to be getting more attention than ever thanks to the utilization of streaming, social media, and talented superstars.
That being said, multiple fans will still argue in favor of the Attitude Era, sporting iconic personalities like Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, and Mick Foley.

Especially with nostalgia goggles, it’s easy to argue that the Attitude Era is the best period of wrestling for all time.
That being said, there is one person who thinks modern-day wrestling is bigger than it was in that beloved time: Triple H.
During an appearance on ‘The Roommates’ podcast, Triple H revealed that he believes modern-day WWE is bigger than it was in the Attitude Era.
“We’re sort of in this resurgence of WWE. I was obviously a huge part of the Attitude Era, but right now it’s bigger than it’s ever been,” Triple H said. “I think it’s bigger than the Attitude Era was even then. It’s amazing the amount of people weekly that we get to do cool stuff with.”
If there’s one person who can make this argument, it’s Triple H. The head of creative was a wildly popular superstar in the Attitude Era, having captured multiple world titles during his in-ring career.
In regards to numbers, Triple H isn’t wrong. WWE is making more money than ever and, due to streaming, is finding its way into more homes than ever before.

That being said, commentator and former WWE Superstar Wade Barrett believes that the storytelling has improved as well, and it’s all thanks to Triple H.
“I love the fact that today, I don’t know who’s going to be in the main event of the next premium live event,” Barrett said in an interview with PWMania. “I have absolutely no clue what the card is going to look like. I don’t know if Cody Rhodes is going to be anywhere near the card, he might be left off and he’s one of the biggest stars we’ve ever seen. I don’t know if Roman Reigns is going to be there, CM Punk might be back, I have no clue.”
“That to me is really, really exciting and I think that one of the key factors in the success of Triple H is his ability to keep the audience guessing and not be so formulaic. I love that as a fan of professional wrestling. It keeps me excited and keeps our fans intrigued, and to me, that’s the biggest difference of all of it. This question mark that pretty much every weekly show has.”
