Netflix‘s livestream of the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight wrestled the attention of 60 million households, peaking at 65 million concurrent streams, per the streamer.
Nearly 50 million homes also tuned in live for the co-main event fight featuring Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano. The platform will release additional viewership stats, including total viewers, early on this week.
In addition to household viewership, Netflix partnered with Joe Hand Promotions to distribute last night’s sports spectacle to more than 6,000 bars and restaurants in the U.S., setting the record for commercial distribution of a combat sports event in the company’s over 50-year history.
#PaulTyson was the No. 1 trending topic worldwide on X yesterday with #Serrano following No. 2 in the U.S. The fight dominated social conversation, accounting for all of the Top 11 trending topics in the country. As noted on social media last night, however, viewers experienced a slew of buffering and sound issues while streaming the event on Netflix.
