Jeff Bezos congratulated Donald Trump for his victory in the presidential race, calling it an “extraordinary political comeback and decisive victory.”
“Big congratulations to our 45th and now 47th President on an extraordinary political comeback and decisive victory,” he wrote on X. “No nation has bigger opportunities. Wishing @realDonaldTrump all success in leading and uniting the America we all love.”
Bezos blocked The Washington Post from endorsing in the presidential race, a decision that led to a reader backlash, with more than 200,000 cancelling their digital subscriptions, according to NPR. Some staffers resigned in protest, as Bezos’ decision was viewed as a way to appease Trump as the Post editorial board was set to back Kamala Harris.
