Donald Trump Jr. trolled President Biden and Dems on Halloween Thursday — dressing up as a pile of garbage in response to the commander-in-chief’s disparaging comments about his father’s supporters.
Former President Donald Trump’s eldest son donned a black plastic garbage bag with other pieces of refuse sticking out while out trick-or-treating with his family on Thursday night, photos posted to his Instagram show.
“Embrace their hate and own it,” Trump Jr. posted in the caption.
“I’m garbage like the rest of you deplorables and irredeemables!!! Love you all hope you have a blast tonight,” he added.
Biden referred to Trump supporters as “garbage” on a campaign call at the White House this week while denouncing comments made by comic Tony Hinchcliffe, who called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage” at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally on Sunday.
“The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it’s un-American,” Biden said during a call with Voto Latino Group, as Vice President Kamala Harris rallied at the nearby Ellipse in Washington, DC.
The insult quickly drew comparisons to former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s remark on the 2016 campaign trail — when she described half of Trump’s supporters as a “basket of deplorables.”
The potentially campaign-altering comment forced the White House to scramble into clean-up mode.
A transcript of Biden’s comments provided by the White House attempted to offer an altered version of the remark, with his team adding an apostrophe to “supporter’s” — suggesting that the president was only attacking the comedian.
Trump, meanwhile, has worn his own costume to address the controversy.
On Wednesday, he rode in a garbage truck while wearing an orange safety vest after he landed in Wisconsin for a campaign event.
“This truck is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden,” he told reporters.
He kept the vest on during his speech that night in Green Bay.
