A sicko choked out a woman outside a Times Square hotel Tuesday morning — leaving her fighting for her life, according to cops and law enforcement sources.
The maniac pounced on the woman — strangling, dragging her and leaving her unconscious on a sidewalk in front of Riu Plaza New York Times Square Hotel at 305 West 46th Street, cops and sources said.
Police sources said hotel surveillance footage captured the gruesome attack.
The unidentified woman, believed to be in her 30s, was rushed by EMTs to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where she is unconscious and clinging to life, sources told The Post.
Cops were called to the hospital around 1:16 a.m. after the badly wounded woman arrived. Investigators later learned she was beaten outside the hotel when staff alerted police, according to sources.
Video from the hotel caught the creep violently dragging the mystery woman on the sidewalk, the sources said.
A photo obtained by The Post shows the accused assailant — wearing a tan coat, black pants, black beanie and white sneakers — walking near the hotel.
The NYPD said it’s unclear if the victim knew her attacker or what led to the shocking assault.
Police said the perp remained on the loose as of Wednesday night.
The attack came as assaults have erupted this year in the Midtown North Precinct by 63.3%, with 245 felony assaults recorded as of Oct. 27 compared to 150 for the same time period last year, according to NYPD data.
