As Floridians prepare for Hurricane Milton to make landfall while still recovering the aftermath of Helene, Taylor Swift is helping provide support to those in need.
On Wednesday, Feeding America thanked the 14x Grammy winner for donating $5 million to the organization’s hurricane relief efforts across Florida, the Carolinas, Georgia and Tennessee as the massive Cat. 3 storm approaches.
“We’re incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift for her generous $5 million donation to Hurricanes Helene and Milton relief efforts,” said Feeding America CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot in a statement. “This contribution will help communities rebuild and recover, providing essential food, clean water, and supplies to people affected by these devastating storms. Together, we can make a real impact in supporting families as they navigate the challenges ahead. Thank you, Taylor, for standing with us in the movement to end hunger and for helping communities in need.”

Since Helene made landfall, Feeding America has deployed more than 140 truckloads of food, water and other relief supplies to 11 food banks.
Milton is expected to hit Florida, south of Tampa, around 8 p.m. Wednesday, AccuWeather Lead Hurricane Expert Alex DaSilva told the Herald-Tribune. The storm is on the verge of regaining Category 5 designation, which begins at 156 mph, though wobbles are expected.
As a result, states of emergency have been declared in counties across the state as residents and visitors begin to evacuate. Sporting events are being postponed and some WDW-adjacent Florida theme parks are being closed.
